Admit you are a sinner. Romans
3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Isaiah 53:6 "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each
of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all." Penalty of Sin - Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 5:12 "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and
death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned." Penalty
Must be Paid - Hebrews 9:27 "Just as man is destined to die once, and after that
to face judgement." John 12:48 "There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which
I spoke will condemn him at the last day."
Be willing to turn from sin (repent) Acts 17:30 "In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere
to repent.
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from
the dead. Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while
we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 10:9-10 "That you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." 1 Peter 2:24 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,
so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."
Salvation is a FREE gift Ephesians
2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by
works, so that no one can boast." Titus 3:5 "He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his
mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit." (washing
of rebirth - The cleansing from sin by the Holy Spirit, a spiritual work that underlies
salvation.)
We Must Accept Christ John
1:12 "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." Revelation
3:20 "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him,
and he with me."
Through Prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your
personal Saviour. Romans 10:13 "For, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord
will be saved." A relationship with God is required for salvation. Even though sin broke this relationship, God provides a
way back through Jesus Christ, the mediator who restores the relationship. We saved when we sincerely believe Jesus died and
was resurrected, and we trust in him as our only way to eternal life. Such deep convictions will inevitable by confessed by
one's words and way of living.
What to Pray - use this prayer or pray your own. Prayer is just talking to God with complete humility and sincerity.
Dear
God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing
to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour. Amen
If you trusted Jesus
as your Saviour, you have just begun a wonderful new life with Him. Now ready your Bible daily to get to know Jesus Christ
better, talk to God in prayer consistantly, be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church
where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority. Tell others about Jesus Christ.
The Bible says, "And
whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Rev. 20:15 IS YOUR NAME IN IT???
